Meeting of the National Focal Points of the Global Programme on Sport and PVE

UNAOC, UNOCT, UNICRI, and ICSS will hold a National Focal Points (NFPs) Regional Forum for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand, within the framework of the Global Programme on Sport and PVE (10-12 May 2022). The Forum will bring together NFPs from all over the region, providing them with a platform to share lessons learned and best practices on the security of major sporting events, as well as on the use of sport to PVE, taking into account regional characteristics such a common legal framework, geographical features, drivers of violent extremism and threats. It will include working groups, experts’ presentations, and networking opportunities to discuss the security of major sporting events and the use of sport as a tool to PVE.
