High-Level Round Table on Countering Hate Speech

Mr. Miguel Ángel Moratinos, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, will deliver the keynote address at the High-Level Round Table on Countering Hate Speech, a side event in the margins of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, organized by the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the UN and the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN.

The High-Level Roundtable will provide the participants with an opportunity to identify key factors leading to an increase in intolerance and various forms of hatred, including hate speech. It is aimed at identifying measures and approaches required to effectively address and mitigate the impacts of hate speech on societies across the world, with a view to fostering tolerance and inclusivity.
