A Celebration of Human Fraternity: Virtual Ceremony

The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity cordially invites you to attend a virtual Celebration of Human Fraternity on 4 February, 2021, 5:30pm GST (8:30am EST).

Join us as we recognize the honorees of the 2021 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, and to commemorate the first United Nations International Day of Human Fraternity.

The Zayed Award recognizes the institutions and community of people who are spreading the work of human fraternity and coexistence around the world. It was inspired by the Document on Human Fraternity which was signed by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb and His Holiness Pope Francis on February 4, 2019 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

This year, these two symbols of humanity will once again convene alongside notable leaders from around the world. Together, we will take the opportunity to reflect on the exceptional accomplishments of this year’s honorees, and those that inspire us in their daily work — reviving and bringing to life the values of human fraternity across peoples.
