Statement Attributable to the Spokesperson for the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations

The High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilizations, Mr. Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, met on June 10th, with participants in the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Fellowship Programme. The Programme is one of the flagship activities of the Alliance aiming at empowering youth. It is in line with the mission of the Alliance to promote dialogue, understanding and collaboration between diverse cultures and religions between north and south nations, east and west.
During an interactive discussion with the group, Mr. Al-Nasser said he was confident that, as emerging leaders in their respective regions, this group of young people will be in a position to bring in-depth understanding of diverse societies and allow others to benefit from their experience.
The Spring Edition of the Fellowship Programme is organized in collaboration with the German Government, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Guerrand-Hermes Foundation, The Institute of International Education (IIE), the League of Arab States (LAS), The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Qatar Committee for the UNAOC.
