Even though they have always existed, Educational and Academic Mobility and Migration have become “systematic, dense, multiple and trans-national”(Kim) in our globalized world. There is also a widespread consensus that most countries and world regions are now witnessing them. This new series seeks to encourage interdisciplinary and primarily qualitative research on these types of mobility and migration in any part of the world and across education levels (school, higher education, vocational education, adult education, etc.). Topics of interest include educational, intercultural, linguistic, professional, relational and societal features of such forms of mobility and migration. The series also seeks to address the growing importance and consequences of Virtual Educational and Academic Mobility. Education beyond borders: Studies on Educational and Academic Mobility and Migration offers a platform for single author manuscripts (e.g. dissertations) and edited volumes from a wide range of comparative, theoretical and methodological perspectives.
