The Milena Jesenska Fellowships for Journalists 2012/2013 offers European journalists (incl. Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan) time off from their professional duties in order to pursue in-depth research on a topic of their choice. Candidates are asked to relate their proposals to one of the main research fields of the IWM (for details please see www.iwm.at/research). Applications by entry-level journalists or students will be rejected. Fellows will spend 3 months at the IWM in Vienna, Austria. they will receive a stipend of EUR 7,630 and are provided with an office, access to e-mail and internet, in-house research facilities and other relevant resources in Vienna. Travel grants of up to EUR 1,820 can be paid for research trips to neighbouring countries.
