“Slate”, “AllHere”, “DiverCity”, and “Reverse”! Four incredible games have been conceptualized and designed by 22 young game-changers over the past 8 months of the Digital Games for Peace challenge to prevent violent extremism through education in intercultural dialogue (ICD) and social-emotional learning (SEL).
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP), and the United Nations Office of Counterterrorism (UNOCT) are pleased to invite you to join the public showcase event.
Join us on the 24th of February at 07:00 PM IST (8:30 am New York time) to learn more about the #GamesForPeace challenge and participate in a panel discussion on digital games and their role in the 21 st century with eminent speakers, including Dr. Anantha Duraiappah, Director of UNESCO MGIEP; Susanna Pollack, President of Games for Change; Justin Edwards, Director of Learning Programs of Microsoft; Alok Mishra, Deputy Director-General of Niti Aayog (Government of India); and Anzal Baig, selected gamechanger from Pakistan. Ms. Nihal Saad, Chief of Cabinet and Spokesperson for the High Representative for UNAOC, will deliver welcome remarks during the opening segment.
