On the margins of the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) held its annual high-level meeting of its Group of Friends on the theme, “Shaping a Better World: Building Cohesive and Inclusive Societies in a Challenging COVID-19 Environment” on 29 September. The meeting was followed by a Youth Webinar (“An Intergenerational Conversation: The Future They Want”) featuring UNAOC programme alumni in conversation with senior officials, and an interactive discussion on “Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination: The Tearing of Our Societies”.
