The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) are co-organizing an event entitled “Strengthening Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue through Knowledge Sharing: Opportunities and Challenges”, which is to be held on 10 July 2018, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the United Nations Headquarters, ECOSOC Chamber.
The event will bring together key experts in interreligious and intercultural dialogue, as well as practitioners and users of knowledge sharing platforms. During the discussion, organizers and panellists will present tools and good practices they developed and used to share knowledge on interreligious and intercultural dialogue. They will discuss opportunities and challenges for utilizing these tools in the context of social cohesion, focusing on the networking possibilities at local, national and international levels. Together, they will explore potential mechanisms that can support the continued exchange of knowledge in the field of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
