This two-day conference on “Cultural Encounters in the Luso-Hispanic World” Friday 31 May – Saturday 1 June 2013, organized by Hispanic Studies at the University of Warwick, will bring together an interdisciplinary mix of researchers to discuss the implications and resonances of the cultural encounters, exchanges and interactions that have shaped the Luso-Hispanic world and its relations with the rest of the globe across time.
The organizers invite, by January 31, 2013 submissions that investigate specific instances of encounter; that offer theoretical reflection on encounter from a Luso-Hispanic perspective; or that synthesize broader histories and geographies of encounter in which the Luso-Hispanic world has played a role. Please visit the conference website for a more detailed call for papers.
