AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V. will present the results of
of Project Kaleidoscope, a study conducted in cooperation with the University of Essex at a Berlin meeting Nov. 30 to examine the impact of study abroad. More information is available at the Kaleidoscope Study Presentation Information Sheet,
The Kaleidoscope Study is a three year project (2009 – 2012) which investigated the impact of living abroad monitoring approximately 2500 sojourners. This project was designed and conducted by independent researchers at the University of Essex and led by Assistant Professor Dr. Nicolas Geeraert.
Findings of the study will be discussed with regards to four main research areas: cultural adaptation, cultural learning, interpersonal & intergroup contact, and cultural distance.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and the date, times, and venue are as follows:
