The Fellowship programme is launching their Spring 2012 edition!
The Programme is welcoming new partners who will join an existing network partners from previous series. The programme is made possible thanks to a grant of the Federal Foreign office of Germany and the Hermes Foundation and is developed in partnership with the League of Arab States, the British Council, Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) , the Institute for International Education and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan.
The fellowship programme’s aim is to enhance mutual knowledge and understanding between peoples and societies from Muslim-majority countries in the Arab World, Europe and North America. It provides fellows the opportunity to travel throughout three countries in Europe and three states in the US, and emerging leaders from the US and Europe to three countries throughout the Arab world.
This year , on the MENA region, the program will be held in Morocco, Jordan and Saudi Arabia for a period of two weeks and will offer young leaders the opportunity to participate in meetings and visits in the host country with decision makers, media leaders, local communities, grassroots, religious groups for in depth discussions. This program will run from April 2nd to April 14th and featured , 12 fellows women and men from 26-36 from Europe and North America including: Canada, several parts of the US, France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden.
On the US/ European side, the program will be held in New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Berlin Brussels and Paris for a period of two weeks and offered young leaders some meetings and visits in the host country with decision makers, media leaders, local communities, grassroots, religious groups for in depth discussions.The program will run from May 6th to May 22nd and featured 12 fellows (men and women) from 26 to 36 years old from Syria, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Palestine, Yemen, Iran/Iraq, Oman, Jordan and Lebanon.
