Following the successful adoption of the Regional Strategies for Intercultural Dialogue and Cooperation in South East Europe and in the Mediterranean, preparations for a Latin American Strategy have started.
On December 9-10, 2010, countries and international organizations of the Latin America, as well as Spain and Turkey as co-sponsors of the Alliance, will get together at the first preparatory meeting in Lima, Peru. Hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru, the Lima meeting will aim to discuss objectives and priorities of a Regional Strategy in Latin America, map the existing gaps and needs for activities and projects to be supported in such framework. Participants will also reflect on the existing ongoing actions undertaken by countries and international organizations in the region, as well as identify main partners to be involved in the preparation, adoption and implementation of the Regional Strategy in Latin America.
